  • Per State Statute § 33-514A, Idaho Code, if this position is offered and accepted after August 1st, the selected candidate will be issued a Category 1, limited contract which is offered for the limited duration of the ensuing school year and may not be renewed for the following school year.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:  
  • Must have at least 2 years of work experience.
  • Applicant must hold or be eligible to hold an Idaho State Occupational Specialist Teaching Certificate with appropriate endorsements in a related health occupations content area.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:  
  • Use the curriculum scope and sequence in accordance with the Division of Professional-Technical education guidelines for health occupations courses.
  • Work with high school counselors and administration in placing students in the programs.
  • Develop and maintain an industry-based Technical Advisory Committee.
  • Offer students opportunities for leadership and growth with the Health Occupations Students of America (HOSA).
  • Enter daily attendance in school system and updates grades on a regular basis.
  • Submit all reports required by the Division of Professional Technical-Education to the district PTE/CTE coordinator prior to deadlines.
  • Serve as a liaison between home high school and the participating pathway programs delivered at various district locations.
  • Maintain an inventory of all program equipment and materials.
  • Carry out other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned by the PTE/CTE district coordinator or school administration.
 
EMPLOYMENT INFORMATION:  

Upon hire applicants are required to clear a criminal justice fingerprint and background check.

Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, and Public Employees’ Retirement System (PERSI) are provided to Certified employees with a .50 FTE or greater contract.
