Hours per day:  6.5

Shift: 6:00 AM - 1:00 PM

Capital is a production site for satellite kitchens. A stipend will be paid for additional production requirements. Must be available to work on additional food service work days not reflected in the FS work schedule calendar to provide meals such as breakfast at secondary sites or meals for elementary (if a designated production site). 

District employees will need to complete the online transfer application.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:  
  • Graduation from High School or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous experience with institutional foodservice.
  • Previous experience with school foodservice preferred.
  • Previous experience supervising/managing others.
  • Ability to perform mathematical calculations for recipes, production sheets, and cashiering.
  • Ability to make decisions and to problem solve.
  • Willing to learn and understand the WinSnap software, cashiering and email.
  • Understanding of Federal, State, Local, District and Foodservice policies and regulations.
  • Ability to work quickly and efficiently.
  • Ability to be self-directed.
  • Ability to work independently and with a team.
  • Ability to establish and maintain an effective working relationship with school personnel, students and the public.
  • Strong communications skills.
  • Understanding of the importance to communicate with the Foodservice Office.
  • Ability to give direction and train others.
  • Ability to stand on your feet for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to regularly lift up to 35 pounds.
